Last week was chock-full of games for King’s sports teams.
There were four basketball games played on Monday. Boys varsity led from the opening tip on the way to a 55-24 victory at American Community School. Girls varsity also played away at American Community School. Despite running their offensive plays to perfection, they lost in a nail-biter, 26-27.
Meanwhile at King’s, the boys junior varsity basketball team hosted the International School of Choueifat. After falling behind early, the boys mounted a second-half comeback only to come up just short, losing 31-33. The girls junior varsity team made the trek to Choueifat and lost, 4-29.
Wednesday saw some varsity soccer action. The boys varsity soccer team was split into two varsity teams, A and B, and the resulting squads played against Al-Etihad School. Boys varsity A scored two second-half goals and got the win, 3-1. Boys varsity B soccer was a more one-sided affair as the boys lit up the twine seven times in a 7-0 victory.
